Barstool Conversations
Featuring Vic McEwan of the Cad Factory – Candelo Village Festival
Saturday 29 March – 5.30pm @ the Candelo Town Hall Cafe
In this talk, Vic McEwan will explore the evolution of artist led organisation the Cad Factory, which started as an underground warehouse venue in Sydney, hosting monthly gigs and exhibitions, while flying under the radar as local councils cracked down on ‘illegal’ DIY venues.
After four years and hundreds of musicians passing through its doors, the Cad Factory moved to Narrandera in regional NSW, building a world class recording studio and presenting gigs in remote and abandoned spaces, while gradually shifting towards more experimental explorations of sound in response to the unique environments they found themselves in.
