Deciding to live in the relative isolation of a remote or regional place is a radical choice when you’re accustomed to the comforts, conveniences and work prospects of cities.
Yet moving to the country to make art is a decision made consciously and purposefully by many Australian artists, because it’s here, away from the white noise of the urban landscape, that we’re our most productive, focused and inspired.
